Nicolas Herschtel joins as Partner and Silvia Ersetti as Analyst. They both join the Growth investment team with a European ambition.

Paris, September 26th 2022 – IRIS, leading European Venture and Growth firm, announces the arrival of Nicolas Herschtel as Partner in Paris, in charge of late stage and growth investments in France and Europe, and Silvia Ersetti as Analyst in Berlin, in charge of late stage dealflow and European tech companies analysis.

They both join the Growth investment team with a European ambition

Nicolas has been specializing in later stage and growth investments for the past 10 years, with a strong digital expertise in Enterprise software, digital platforms, and marketplaces.

Prior to joining the team, Nicolas was Partner at InfraVia where he launched their Growth activity in Europe. Beforehand, he was Deputy Managing Director at Bpifrance Large Venture where he led the digital investments for several years. He started his career in Private equity at Batipart and Covivio before starting to invest in tech companies in 2010.

Along his career, he invested and was at the board of several successful scale-ups such as Doctolib, Contentsquare, Kyriba, Talend, Payfit and Botify.

Nicolas graduated from ESCP Europe, where he pursued the European track.

Silvia Ersetti is specialized in tech companies’ analysis, looking for the upcoming tech giants across Europe and especially in Germany.

Before joining IRIS Silvia worked at the hyper-growth scale-up Gorillas within the Strategy and Operations team in Berlin, and before that as a consultant at EY in Milan.

A graduate in Management from Universita Bocconi Silvia started her career as Head of consulting at BSI Bocconi where she had the opportunity to look after B2B and B2C start-ups consulting needs.
