pyck offers the first open-source toolkit built for AI-driven warehousing software

Deep tech startup pyckhas raised €2.6 million in Seed funding to expand its open sourcetoolkit for AI-powered warehousing software. The round was led by IRIS,with participation from XPRESS Ventures, Rethink Ventures, JohnBaysore (former CEO of Dematic), and additional business angels.

Founded in 2023, pyck ispioneering a new category of warehouse infrastructure software: fully modular, open source, and ready for the AI era. Its flexible toolkit allowswarehouse operators to build and scale individualized solutions - helping themregain full control over operations, data, and costs, while maintaining speedand simplicity.
The funding will support the team’s growth, accelerate product development, andfoster the company’s global outreach to more logistics operators.

The startup was founded by ateam of logistics and software experts: Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr (CEO, formerHead of Innovation at Dematic), Maximilian Mack (CTO, former founder ofDozeo), and Matthias Nagel (COO, former founder of Bitfactory).Together, they’re solving a problem shared by logistics leaders worldwide -outdated, rigid warehouse software stacks that slow down innovation andadaptation.

"Every warehouse hasunique processes, inventory or operational models. Yet, Warehouse ManagementSoftware (WMS) vendors offer off-the-shelf software that require a lot offinancial investment and time to make it match their needs. pyck allows tocreate unique warehouse software that can be implemented and adjusted 60%faster and cheaper," says Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr, co-founder andCEO of pyck. "This new funding will support the constant evolution ofour open source toolkit to allow the integration of new tech, infrastructureand partners to the system”, adds Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr

At IRIS, we look foroutstanding tech teams who are reshaping critical infrastructure categorieswith long-term impact. The warehousing software stack has been stuck in thepast for too long - pyck’s open and flexible approach is exactly what theindustry needs. We're excited to support their mission to give warehouseoperators back control through powerful, user-friendly tools built for the AIera,” said Thorben Rothe, Partner at IRIS.

Just one year after itscommercial launch, pyck is already working with three major logisticsenterprises, proving demand for more customizable, lightweight alternativesto monolithic warehouse management systems (WMS).

The company is also launching a new data managertool that allows warehouse teams to easily set up and manage their own datastandards across different locations, without the need of changingsoftware  or altering databases. This isanother big step in giving full control back to the people who run thewarehouses every day.
